Redefining Women's Wellness: What Being Named Philadelphia Magazine's 2026 Luminary Leader Means to Me

When I started Raw Awakening, I wasn't thinking about awards. I wasn't trying to build a brand that would be featured in magazines or recognized across the region. I was simply trying to become the practitioner I wish I had when I needed one most.

That mission has never changed.

So when I learned that I had been selected as Philadelphia magazine's 2026 Luminary Leader, I felt incredibly honored—not because of the title itself, but because of what it represents.

The Luminary Leader Award is presented each year during Philadelphia magazine's Trailblazer Awards to recognize a pioneering woman age 35 or younger who has already made a meaningful impact throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

To be recognized alongside so many accomplished women was both humbling and deeply inspiring. But more than anything, it reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

Raw Awakening Was Never About Selling Products

People often see the herbal products, the placenta encapsulation services, the educational blogs, or the social media content and assume that's what Raw Awakening is. Those things are part of it, but they were never the purpose.

Raw Awakening was born from years of navigating my own health challenges—living with endometriosis, surviving cervical cancer, experiencing pregnancy, postpartum, and spending countless hours trying to understand a body that often felt misunderstood by the healthcare system.

I know what it feels like to leave appointments with more questions than answers. I know what it's like to be told, "Everything looks normal," while still knowing something doesn't feel right.

And I know how overwhelming it can be to sift through endless information online, trying to figure out what to trust. That's why Raw Awakening exists. Not to replace conventional medicine. Not to tell people what they should do, but to educate, empower, and help people better understand the incredible bodies they live in.

Education Will Always Come Before Products

One of the things I'm most proud of is that education has always come before sales. If you've followed me for any amount of time, you've probably noticed that I spend far more time teaching than promoting.

Whether I'm writing about medicinal mushrooms, castor oil, placenta encapsulation, hormones, CBD, or women's health, my goal is always the same. Help people understand the "why."

Because when you understand your body, you make decisions from a place of confidence instead of fear. That philosophy has shaped every product I've created, every consultation I've offered, and every blog I've written.

My Greatest Teachers Have Been My Clients

People sometimes ask where I find ideas for new products or educational content.

The answer is simple.

My clients.

Every consultation, every question, every story shared with me helps me understand where people feel confused, unsupported, or unheard. Those conversations have shaped Raw Awakening into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Today, what started as a passion project has grown into a wellness brand offering herbal remedies, placenta encapsulation services, educational resources, and one-on-one support.

Even as it grows, the mission remains exactly the same.

Help people navigate their health with more clarity, confidence, and compassion.

The Award Belongs to Everyone Who Trusted Me

While my name may be on the award, I don't feel like it belongs solely to me. It belongs to every client who trusted me during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their life. Every mother who invited me into her postpartum journey. Every woman who shared her struggles with hormones or endometriosis. Every family who asked questions because they wanted to make informed decisions. Every person who believed in Raw Awakening before it became what it is today.

You've allowed me to do work that I genuinely love, and for that, I'll always be grateful.

This Is Only the Beginning

Receiving this award doesn't feel like the finish line. If anything, it feels like a reminder to keep going. There are still conversations we need to have about women's health. There are still myths to challenge. There are still families looking for education, support, and someone willing to listen.

And there are still countless opportunities to help people feel empowered in their own wellness journey. That work matters to me far more than any title ever could.
